This particular product involves several components--a toxin absorber, digestive stimulator, a dosage calendar, glass jar shaker and a user guide. You can get the Blessed Herbs Colon Cleanse in two different formulas-peppermint or ginger. Peppermint is better for people with higher body temperature and ginger for people who have a tendency to be cold.

The toxin absorber uses ingredients like psyllium husk seeds and bentonite clay. It is used to draw the toxins from the body. This is to be taken 5 times a day, or every 3 hours. • Another questionable ingredient is Bentonite clay. This is actually aluminum. We're not sure how exactly a heavy metal could do much good for your digestive system. Bentonite clay is used in cat litter, cement, and adhesives so you might want to consult a doctor before using this product.

While it's great that Blessed Herbs comes from an established company, there are other colon cleansers that you should consider first.
