The manufacturers of Colon Blow attempt to use humor (hence the name of the product!) to make their customers feel more comfortable about admitting that they need help for a possibly embarrassing problem. This is primarily designed to reach younger people and some older people concerned for their health may find the website to be off-putting.

How Does Colon Blow Work?

As opposed to longer, drawn-out cleanses Colon Blow is designed for a simple 24-hour use. The website illustrates when the colon cleanser should be taken and different ways it can be taken in terms of effectiveness. For the best results, you should only consume liquids during the cleansing period. The colon cleanser comes in powder and capsule form and is taken 3 times a day. Ideally these would be taken in place of normal meals. This can be repeated in as little as 10 days later or up to 60 days later after the original cleanse.

The Colon Blow powder consists of psyllium husk, natural plant flavors and stevia. This is actually very similar to Metamucil, an over-the-counter laxative. The capsule ingredients are much stronger-cascara sagrada, senna, figs, prunes and magnesium. Colon Blow contains twice the normal amount of cascara sagrada, which is why the product is so aggressive. Unfortunately the company's website does not contain any warnings about this ingredient.
