We also find the use of psyllium a source of concern. Psyllium's mechanism of action is to expand in the intestinal tract, thereby "sweeping" the intestinal walls as it is passed out. However, there have documented cases that psyllium actually caused intestinal blockage due to its swelling mechanism. Furthermore, the vitamins that are found in Stage 2 can also be found in much cheaper vitamin supplements. Basically, we find nothing extraordinary and worth acclaim in either of the 2 formulation.
